Easy Strawberry Painted Clay Pot Craft

This easy clay pot craft is adorable. You can make it in various sizes. It is a fun activity to do on your patio table while enjoying a warm sunny day.

But, of course, it can be an addition to any crafting activity throughout the year because this hand-painted terra cotta pot can be used for many purposes.

Supply To Make Strawberry Painted Clay Pot

You can use any size clay pot that is available, as you prefer. I use a tiny 2.5″ clay pot, the only one available now in my craft supplies.

The saucer is for the calyx or strawberry green top when it is upside down on the pot. It also serves as the clay pot planter’s saucer when placed on the base.

  • Any size clay pot with a saucer, I use the 2.5″ pot and saucer
  • Red acrylic paint
  • Green acrylic paint
  • White or yellow acrylic paint
  • Foam brush

Ways To Use The Strawberry Painted Pots

Here are some fun ways to use the painted clay pot:

Flower Planter
A small clay pot might only fit a specific size of succulent plant or cactus. Use it as an indoor plant to update the indoor garden display or as a desk decor.

Use a larger strawberry-painted clay pot for larger-sized flowers. For an idea, make several painted clay pots and use them as a container garden for herbs.

Treat Holder
Put some candy treats in the painted clay pot. Then, put the painted saucer upside down on top of the clay pot to protect the treats from dust.

The strawberry-painted pot is a fun addition to the summer-themed treat holder.

Garden Decoy
Put the painted strawberry clay pot in the strawberry patch outside as a decoy to prevent birds from eating your strawberries.

This DIY garden decoy has the same purpose as strawberry-painted rocks.

Office or Classroom Stationery Holder
Use the painted clay pot as a pencil holder or to store small random stationary items like paper clips, small sticky notes, and erasers.

The DIY stationery holder can cheer up the office or classroom and add a pop of color to the desk.

Gift Jar
Use the painted clay pot as a gift jar for a customized gift-wrapping idea.

Put the gift item, such as a gift card, friendship bracelet, or scrunchie, inside the clay pot. Then, put the saucer on top and wrap the DIY gift jar with a ribbon.

DIY Piggy Bank
To this day, I still encourage my kids to put some money in a piggy bank, even if it’s just some coins. It’s so fun to check how much they get after a year.

Then, they can use it for whatever they want. They mostly use it to buy a toy, book, or new shirt. Once they use the money from the piggy bank, they start over again to put some money there.
